PERSONALITY

Kymiku is surprisingly fluent in a variety of languages, including English, but she prefers to let her actions (or in some cases her henchmen) speak for her. Inside the squared circle...her actions speak volumes as she lives up to her in-ring moniker “Oni” (Devil) as she attempts to injure or maim opponents with alarming regularity. Kymiku’s motivations are governed by her own sick, sadistic whims and twisted code of honor from which she will rarely wavier.

THE DEVIL'S NOOSE (Swinging Sleeperhold)
Oni applies a sleeperhold and begins to spin her opponent around and around. When she finally releases, the victim falls to the mat, dazed and confused. The move is simple, yet brutally effective!

FLASH OF CRIMSON (Running Forearm Smash)
Oni measures her opponent and dashes across the ring, connecting with a violent haymaker to the face, which usually draws blood, knocking them cold as she collapses on them for the pin. She will characteristically wrap barbwire around her fist to maim her opponent during no-holds-barred matches.

THE DEVIL'S TRIANGLE (Modified Figure-Four Leg Lock)
Oni drags an opponent to the corner as she goes to the outside of the ring, forcing them to straddle the ring post. She bends one leg around the post, then holds them in place as she jumps up and applies a devastating figure-four leg lock, using the ring post. During a match... she will usually apply this out of the sight of the referee and break it when forced. In a no-holds barred match...or during an attack…she will use it to cripple an opponent.

TANGLE OF THORNS (Brutal Rulebreaking Maneuver)
Oni is handed a length of barbwire from one of her henchmen and she uses it to brutally choke and bind her opponent. As they are left bound and bleeding, Oni savagely beats them, further sending the vile barbs into their already bloody flesh. As an added bonus, Oni will use the wire in conjunction with other moves as she wraps it around the turnbuckle, turn post, or even the ring ropes.

ONI DRIVER (Vertabreaker)
From a position in which the opponent is standing behind Oni, she hooks her arms under the opponent's arms. She then twists her body around so that the victim is facing the ground and their back is resting against Oni’s back. Oni stands while the opponent is in an upside down position while both the opponent and Oni’s arms are still hooked. In a swift and violent motion, Oni jumps or drops into a sitting position, driving the helpless opponent into the mat head first. To add a vicious edge to the maneuver, she will sometimes use a spinning variant..

DEMON SPIKE (Double Underhook Sheerdrop Powerbomb)
Oni bends her opponent over with a hard kick to the gut, then cinches in a deep double arm underhook. She brings her victim up into a vertical position with her uncanny strength and drives them straight down on the back of their neck and shoulders as she stacks them up in a pinning combination.

THE DEVIL'S CRADLE (Lung Blower/Dragon Sleeper)
Oni jumps up and grabs her opponent from behind and falls to the mat, slamming her knees into their back with brutal force, knocking the breath from their lungs. The force of the move commonly sends the opponent back up and to their knees. She quickly transitions into a deadly Dragon Sleeper which leaves the opponent little option but to tap out. Oni has been known to execute this maneuver by leaping at her opponent from the top turnbuckle or springboarding from the top rope. This variation is generally done in desperation and renders her vulnerable to counter attack should she miss or fail to submit her opponent.

ENTRANCE

“Big Black Hole” by Shaunna Hall plays as Oni walks through a red fog, which pours through the entranceway. She pauses briefly to assess the crowd, before heading slowly to the ring, flanked by her twin henchwomen, Fukumi & Fukuyu Soone. They ignore the booing fans as they make their way down the ramp towards the ring. She pauses at ringside and allows her henchmen to hold the ropes open for her to enter and face her competition.

HISTORY

Kymiku was raised in world that was surrounded by violence, drugs, and vice as the adopted daughter of a prominent member of the Tao Yuai Jigyo Kumiai yakuza family. She, along with her twin brother Senji, began plying their trade at an early age, and by the time they were in their early twenties, they were already veterans inside the squared circle…as well as respected lieutenants in the Yakuza.

A disagreement between the two siblings led to a series of bloody confrontations between the brother and sister combination, both in and out of the ring. While little is known about the details, the source of the ‘disagreement’ is widely believed to involve a woman whom Senji had become romantically involved with. When the fight between Kymiku and Senji escalated into an all out war, which threatened to divide the family, the two were forced to settle the dispute inside the ring. This fateful decision never came to fruition because Senji was killed under mysterious circumstances. Suspicion swirled around Kymiku, but in the end, the matter was settled within "the family" and Kymiku was left as an outcast.

Oni is a virtual legend in Japan. Having competed in hundreds of matches (mostly hardcore) all over Asia, any true fan of the sport can tell you of the first time they witnessed “Devil” Kymiku inside the ring, laying waste to her opponent. Kymiku is a third generation wrestler who was practically raised in the ring from the time she could stand and walk and is rumored to be related to Mitsuhiro Momota, better known as Rikidôzan, the pioneer of Japanese professional wrestling.

Kymiku has held every major title in Japan at least once, but it’s the thrill of the fight and the infliction of pain that excites her more than titles or mere victories. Given her apparent distain for Westerners, her arrival and extended stay in The United States is a bit of a mystery. Does she seek to increase her legendary status…or does she have a more sinister purpose in mind?
